All Good Things Come To An End   Leave a comment

While visiting our friends in Tennessee, we received a call that my Uncle Bud passed away. Sadness came over me while trying to rationalize that, because he suffered so much from cancer, he was in a better place.

He was such a good, kind-hearted, gentle man.  I remember when we were kids, how terrified we were of him. He was so big and tall, and we were so small.   As we would run in front of the TV (you had to in order to get upstairs) while he was trying to watch his football game, his “booming” voice would yell at us making us afraid to come back downstairs; only to find out as an adult he wasn’t scary at all.  He was just one big teddy bear with a heart of gold.  RIP Uncle Bud.
