Colebrook, New Hampshire   1 comment

Our drive from Quebec to New Hampshire was absolutely gorgeous. We are here at the height of the fall colors. Leaves changing with the season are so unpredictable and we picked the perfect time.

We are staying at a campground just down the road from the Balsam Hotel, which is located in Dixville Notch.

New Hampshire has held the first in the nation presidential primaries since 1920. Since 1960, Dixville has been the first community in the state and country to cast its handful of votes in national elections in the “Ballot Room” of the Balsams.

We drove up to the top of the hill for a panoramic view of the area.

Making the best of such a beautiful area, Bill and I drove out to Akers Pond.

We leave tomorrow to drive south and hope to catch other areas at the height of the fall color season.
