Heading “More” East   Leave a comment

After the Balloon fiesta, we headed East towards home, but a few stops in between. We made it to our friends, Keith and Teri, who live in Pekin, IL, by Sunday night. Because Monday as a holiday, we were able to enjoy the day with them before they had to go back to work. We started off with breakfast at Hungry Moose.

Teri then fixed us a great spaghetti dinner. We feel like all we do is eat when we visit with them!

Tuesday afternoon we made our way to Elkhart, Indiana, to have our desk/cabinets installed in the motorhome. On our way north on I-55, we noticed two Winnebago RVs with matching tow cars heading south. IT HAD TO BE THE TWINS. One phone call late, sure enough, it was Janet and Ken and Janice and Bill heading home after their Falls Colors Adventure Caravan Tour. WHAT A SMALL WORLD!

Our cabinet work was done by Gene Miller in Nappanee, Indiana, and lucky for us, he could take us a day early.

Almost done:

I don’t know how I lived without my office.

Once we finished in Indiana, we headed north to Michigan to have the chassis manufacturer, Spartan, fix some things and do some maintenance work. We were “pleasantly” surprised that the Good Sam Ext. Warranty actually covered some of the items that should be covered “without a fight.”

Three days later, we were able to head south to visit with Bill’s brothers.
