Goshen Mega Rally Day 8-11   2 comments

Day 8

More coffee and doughnuts provided while Show Hauler RV Factory showcased Ernie and Ruth’s custom built Show Hauler motorhome. We enjoyed touring their home and thank Ernie and Ruth for their hospitality.

Meanwhile “back at the ranch” Kay and Ron held another line dancing lesson.

More time was spent on seminars and crafts, followed by lunch and a bingo party.

The afternoon was spent with travel briefs on the new tours, rallies and future mega rallies that Adventure Caravans has to offer, as well as seminars and a reunion social.

The evening was spent with the Marlins, a group of 5 guys who have shared the stage with Lee Greenwood, Randy Travis, Smothers Brother, just to mention a few.

What a great show. No one could stay in their seats.

Day 9

Our final bus morning was spent at the Entegra Coach and Jayco 5th Wheel Plant.

Next stop was our Amish Buggy Ride.

Then it was to the Hudson Auto Museum.

Our last stop of the day was Davis Mercantile to make a soft pretzel

And ride a carousel

Day 10

The buggy painting arts and crafts led by Cheryl was a huge hit.

I have to say, I was sure impressed with their finished product.

Meanwhile, the Women’s Bootcamp was running

Today was also spent on reminiscing. The stories they tell….. but what happens in Goshen, stays in Goshen.

Our staff prepared a wonderful farewell prime rib dinner.

After dinner we honored all the couples married 55 year or more. Juanita managed to worm out of them their secret to a successful marriage.

Last, but not least, we honored our hard working women who spent all of their time making sure everyone had enough to eat.

Kudos to Ron and Kay for organizing a successful Mega Rally and also to Ron and Juanita for making it all happen.

Day 11

It’s always a sad day when we have to bid our fellow travelers farewell, never goodbye. Pancakes were on the menu, but this time it was special. We had “custom pancakes” provided by Mark.

And because we are amongst the Amish…..
